Beach Story

This illustration was inspired by one of my favourite Vogue Fashion Stories. I have drawn this image dozens of times because the lines are so fluid and satisfying to draw! I may have done versions which I am more happy with, but they are buried in a cupboard packed of dusty sketchbooks. Here's the most recent as its fitting for a sunny day like today!

Aussie Lusciously Light

As usual I was touched to receive another wonderful gift from Aussie Hair. This time it was a 60's si-fi style blond wig, definitely won't go to waste with the countless fancy dress parties in Kingston! The wig was test driven when I went to buy a huge bag of cashews from the news agents, I'm sure I was the envy of all the customers. It has since inspired a new cut n' colour, courtesy of Uncover Aussie! I will post a photo of the results as soon as I have been blessed with a Lusciously Light make-over. Thank-you again Aussie!

Maybe it was slightly sub conscious to do something with the Union Jack as I've been O.D'ing on Royal Wedding articles. I actually did this with my friend Paul in mind cos I thought it would match his jingo-esque, mod decorated bedroom.

My house-mate George (pictured... not right at the top) works behind the tills at Starbucks. The Easter break has permitted me to spend a couple of guilt free hours with a VENTI latte to keep her company in a strange I'm-watching-you kind of way.  These are some of the results of my caffeine fuelled scribbling.

River Island Press Days

Last Thursday and Friday I was asked to illustrate guests at River Island Press Day. I had so much fun ... And so many cocktails! These are the only illustrations I have to show for the day... the rest now  belong the people I was drawing! I am looking forward to next season's press day already.

Sometimes I draw people and I don't realize who they are at the time... today I found out that someone I scribbled in the audience at LFW SS '10 is Gizzi Erskine, food writer, chef and television presenter. It suddenly clicked when I double-taked a billboard on the Underground of this familiar pretty face! So here is the drawing I squeezed in before the show (I can't remember which one it was now..)
